As the transmission of COVID-19 declines within our community, Moffitt is expanding our visitor policy to include two healthy adult visitors for inpatient and outpatient appointments beginning Feb. 14. For the safety of our patients, masks must be worn at all times on campus regardless of vaccination status and visitors with respiratory symptoms will not be allowed on campus. Visitors cannot be compelled to show or provide proof of vaccination or immunization status. Children are not allowed on campus. Hospitals like Moffitt are held to higher standards to protect those who may be more vulnerable to COVID-19.
Visitor Policy. As of Feb. 14, Moffitt is updating our visitor policy as follows:
Outpatient appointments — Two healthy adult visitors are allowed. For outpatient infusion bays, one visitor is allowed and the other visitor must wait in the infusion lobby.
Inpatients — Two constant healthy adult visitors are allowed (visitors may not change throughout the day), and one may stay overnight in the hospital. Visitation hours for additional visitors end at 9 p.m. Inpatient visitors must check in at the Red Valet information desk.
Please note, children are not allowed on campus.

Publix Pharmacy at Moffitt
The Publix pharmacies at the Magnolia and McKinley campuses are offering curbside service to assist patients and caregivers with medication pickup. Most patients also have the option to transfer their prescriptions to other Publix pharmacy locations in their communities. Additionally, many insurance companies are allowing patients to obtain several months’ worth of prescriptions during this time. For your safety, we encourage you to take advantage of this option for maintenance medications to reduce unnecessary travel.
Patients are encouraged to download the Publix Pharmacy app and prepay for your orders to expedite the process. For those picking up prescriptions from a Publix Pharmacy at Moffitt, please call to ensure your prescriptions are ready before traveling to the cancer center. You can also check the status using the Publix Pharmacy app. Once you arrive at the valet, please call the appropriate Publix pharmacy and a team member will bring the medications out to your vehicle.
